ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AT ATLANTIC CITY CONVENTION CENTER
Thanks to Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions Group,
sophisticated, modular networking technology makes the
Atlantic City Convention Center a highly desirable site
for meetings, trade shows and conventions. Verizon’s
Enterprise Solutions Group has a unique agreement with
the NJSEA and SMG which guarantees delegates and exhibitors
the ability to be linked anywhere in the world, 24 hours
a day, by a highly sophisticated communications system.
The network communications infrastructure built into
the Center serves as a robust and flexible platform
that exhibitors and visitors and seamlessly utilize
to benefit from a variety of two-way communications
applications. All of our 45 meeting rooms can accommodate
from 20 to 1,200 attendees and offer the following built-in
features:
• Analog telephone connections for voice or data,
with a number of call restriction options.
• Multi-mode fiber-optic connection for ultra
high-speed computer connections throughout the center.
• T1 and ISDN lines for high-speed Internet access
and computer networking. Video-conference with your
home office for product demonstrations or access on-line
product information, inventory or your own website.
• Up to 100MPS on CAT5 and up to 1 GB on fiber
to move your data.
• Connectivity to the Center’s Internet
provider.
• LAN site capability using a client-provided
server.
• Video Teleconference capability, with additional
equipment from our in-house audio-visual provider.
• Distributed MATV connection for video and audio
playback from point to point (within most areas of the
facility), creating your own “in-house TV station”
for event, sponsor or organizational promotion.
• Video I/O (input and output) connections in
every room, creating a closed circuit environment for
focus groups, demonstrations, or other open meeting
viewing around the building. (Video I/O is limited to
certain locations within the exhibit halls.)
MULTI-MEDIA PRESENTATION ROOM
The Center’s Multi-Media Presentation Room, designed
by Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions Group, can be
rented as an independent site for a high-powered board
meeting or executive retreat, or as the virtual hub
to an interstate (or intercontinental) videoconference.
The Presentation Room is available as a comprehensive
audio-visual package, with or without connections to
the outside world.
The room would rival many corporate “strategy
rooms”. With its leather swivel chairs and cherry
wood board table, the room can be set board style or
in a V-shape, for ideal camera shots of all participants.
There is also a spacious observation gallery, where
guests can observe or participate in the session. Two
mounted Sony cameras with pan and tilt can capture individuals
or the group visually, as the board table’s ten
built-in microphones and four ceiling mics pick up sound
from the participants and gallery.
The room also features a large screen projection system
with integrated video conferencing and video tape and
audio input, allowing exhibitors to hold meetings with
personnel both on site and at other facilities and to
conduct interactive product demonstrations and discussions
and meetings from the convention center to any point
in the world. Whether you need it all or just basic
A/V, this room sets the stage for successful presentation
and open dialogue.
Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions Group provides
a single-point-of-contact for coordinating all of an
exhibitor’s internal and external communications
services, including:
• Consulting for display strategies, application
and hardware interoperability/ compatibility, and maximizing
the benefits possible through the coordinated employment
of communications services.
• Ordering/provisioning of advanced, high-speed
data, video and voice transport services.
• Technical, network management, and engineering
support for hardware, software, configuration, and transport
issues.
MULTIMEDIA PACKAGE
• Board or Chevron set conference table for up
to 20 participants.
• Conference table includes built-in microphones
(10), video, audio and computer inputs.
• Observation gallery seating for an additional
50-75 guests.
• Video projection equipment: rear screen (7 foot),
video projector, multi-standard VHS video player/recorder,
slide to video projector and a document camera.
• Audio equipment including dual drive cassette
deck and compact disk player.
• Podium and microphone at either of two pre-set
locations with built-in video, audio and computer inputs,
allowing for “plug and play” PowerPoint
presentations from your laptop.
• Full and half day packages include technician
to connect and operate equipment.
VIDEO CONFERENCE PACKAGE
This package includes all of the above, plus:
• Video-Teleconference Equipment Package with
V-tel controller, IMUX, Hybrid Audio I/O processor and
SDN BRI lines (3) allowing connection speed parity from
64 to 384 Kbps.
• Full and half day packages include technician
and dial-up line charges, allowing for precise budgeting.
