The world's largest indoor antiques and collectibles show, Atlantique City, has added some stellar attractions to its Spring Festival on Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20, at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Fans will have the rare opportunity to see Leigh and Leslie Keno of the PBS show Find! At
4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, the Kenos will appear live in the Special Exhibit area of Atlantique City to share their antiquing adventures, talk about their favorite finds and answer questions. Their appearance is part of the Find! Hidden Treasures Antiquing Tour Made Possible by Ford Five Hundred. As part of the tour, attendees will be able to explore two new Ford Five Hundreds, which will be on display all three days of Atlantique City.
The show will also feature the ultimate Bruce Springsteen collection and a 30-year collection of Disneyana.
The extensive collection of Springsteen memorabilia covers nearly 40 years of musical history through concert posters and flyers, business cards, a signed high school yearbook and handwritten lyrics. The collection, presented by ItsOnlyRocknRoll.com, will be sold in May through a catalog and Internet auction, and the showing at Atlantique City provides a preview for prospective buyers.
Disney fans will appreciate the collection presented by Just Kids Nostalgia, with a large selection of items from a 1,000-piece collection valued at more than $250,000. It includes a 1930s Mickey Mouse Magazine newsstand sign, a Donald Duck Lionel handcar in mint condition and boxed, plus hundreds of comic books from the 1930s through 1950s.
The Atlantique City Spring Festival will have more than 1,000 dealers from 45 states and Canada, Great Britain, Europe and Asia displaying antiques and collectibles of all types. A Computographic Locator System can sort through 1,200 categories to locate specific items for visitors.
Atlantique City also offers free appraisals and free furniture delivery within 200 miles of the show. Additionally, this year's show will provide a package pick-up area for purchases and bonded shipping agents to arrange packaging and merchandise delivery.
Conveniences include seating for 3,400 shoppers, a hospitality center in the lobby, 10 restaurants within the Convention Center, and discount accommodations at 32 area casinos, hotels and motels.
For the first time this year, the show is adding Friday hours on March 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., for those who purchase a two-day ticket for the traditional Saturday and Sunday hours.
Atlantique City also has new parking options. A free shuttle will run from various locations; parking fees vary by location. A full shuttle schedule is available at www.atlanticcitynj.com. Atlantic City is also easily accessible by train from Philadelphia directly to the Convention Center, and by bus from locations throughout the northeast.
Show hours are Friday, March 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 19 from
10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, March 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ticket prices are $17.00 for Saturday, $10.00 for Sunday or $27.00 for a two-day ticket that includes admission on Friday and early show admission on Saturday.
