Our first Together Again Job Fair & Expo for our industry could not have happened without the efforts of you, the Meet AC Team and Spectra. After a long 17 months of shutdown, one would expect some bumps in the road, a slowed pace or bit of rustiness. Not in Atlantic City, NJ. Your team made miracles happen, guided us with the expertise that comes from a commitment to excellence, a can-do attitude and a love of this industry. Short timelines, slim budgets and a changing landscape caused by the pandemic did not get in the way of a successful outcome. We felt like we came to visit your home. Everyone including the bellman from the Sheraton, the drivers for ground transportation, the restauranteurs, union personnel (Carpenters, Electricians, Teamsters, Stagehands) parking attendants, cleaning staff, concierge staff and temporary workers, pitched in and worked together with an eagerness to get back to work. OVG360 provided a GBAC STAR-certified space complete with new hospital-grade air filtration systems that provided confidence for those who attended. Jim’s gentle guidance to help us meet deadlines to contain costs was helpful and you could tell the norm developed from years of experience. The logistical precision was second to none and further amplified by the professional, knowledgeable and caring service that allowed us to begin a long journey of recovery for our industry and our workforce. The American Camp Association, NY & NJ has been hosting our annual conference and tradeshow, the Tristate CAMP Conference, at the Atlantic City Convention Center for almost 10 years. The staff at the convention center is top notch and makes sure that our attendees and vendors feel like they are their favorite show of the year. The proximity to the outlets and restaurants make the center a good starting point for all our attendees to not feel “trapped” at a convention center with nothing fun to do before or after the show and sessions.
